I am the Artistic Director of Untitled Theater Company #61, a Theater of Ideas: scientific, political, philosophical, and above all theatrical. Some of our most prominent projects have been out festivals: The Havel Festival (all the plays of Vaclav Havel), The Ionesco Festival (all the plays of Eugene Ionesco), and the NEUROfest (plays based on neurological conditions.
I also write children's books, plays, and direct.
Books I've written include the modern Oz novels Paradox in Oz, and The Living House of Oz, A Very Improbable Story (a picture book about probability), The Golem, Methuselah, and Shylock (a collection of plays based on Jewish legends), and my adaptation of Lysistrata.
Plays I've written include the Off-Broadway show (which I co-wrote and directed) "Fairy Tales of the Absurd"; a number of plays about neurological conditions such as aphasia ("Linguish"), Korsakov's Syndrome ("Strangers"), and Aspergers ("The Boy Who Wanted to be a Robot"); a number of Jewish-themed plays such as "Golem Stories," "The Living Methuselah," and "A Shylock"; "Cat's Cradle," a calypso musical version of Kurt Vonnegut's book; and a many others on a variety of subjects.
I'm currently working on a number of projects: a play about my grandfather (who discovered the Rh factor in blood), sequels to my picture book and to my Oz novels, a play about Rudolf II, a short movie about sausage entitled "Carniovores", and a musical about lobotomies.
